Along the way, discover hidden tasting stations featuring our best Stags Leap District Cabernets, a special selection from our cellar, and a member of our winemaking team to answer your questions and give an insider's look at what's happening in the cellar. Then, head back into the winery tank room, where a savory Cabernet-friendly bite and a rock-inspired soundtrack await.

⊠ An Afternoon With The Ilsleys

Gather with four generations of Ilsleys under the Stags Leap palisades for an afternoon of family, wine and history, as together we explore the Ilsley's 25 years of winemaking and 70 years of farming in and around Stags Leap. From our historic barn, you'll have views of the vineyards that make this appellation one of the most sought after in the world. Chef Ron Stainer will be providing his world famous SLD Sliders and Seis Primas cookies, while we enjoy great company, valley lore, and (of course) library selections from the Ilsley cellar.

⊠ Please join us us at Lindstrom Wines' ridge-top estate vineyard with sweeping views of Stags Leap Palisade and valley floor, where you will enjoy a poolside reception with select fine wines from the Lindstrom Estate. Gerard's famous paella and tapas are back.

Start under the Stags Leap palisades with Red Shoulder Ranch Chardonnay and a raw bar of freshly shucked oysters. A rare, behind-the-scenes look at our estate vineyard and the wines, not offered to the public.

⊠ "Size Matters" A Sunday at Silverado

Join us for a rare and engaging exploration of how bottle size shapes a wine's evolution over time. Guided by winemaker Alison Rodriguez, guests will taste the acclaimed 2017 SOLO Cabernet Sauvignon from three formats: 750mL, 1.5L Magnum, and 3L Double Magnum.

Through a comparative tasting, participants will discover how oxygen exposure, aging trajectory, and bottle volume influence a wine's aromatic expression, texture, and overall development. An interactive aroma component and guided discussion will illuminate why large-format wines are prized by collectors and often regarded as the ultimate expression of age-worthy Cabernet Sauvignon.

This unique experience offers a remarkable opportunity to taste the same vintage through three distinct aging journeys and gain a deeper understanding of the art and science of cellaring fine wine.

In 1961, Nathan Fay planted the first Cabernet Sauvignon vines in what would become the Stags Leap District. Six decades later, FAY Vineyard became the district’s first to earn Regenerative Organic Certified® status, among the most rigorous organic standards in the world. Explore the rows with Stag's Leap Wine Cellars senior vineyard manager Guillermo Perez, who led the estate's certification, and taste a four-vintage vertical of FAY for a rare, intimate look at the vineyard that started it all. Wines will be served with organic and sustainable farm-to-table bites sourced from local purveyors.
