For this year's V2V Open House event, Chimney Rock Winery and Terlato Family Vineyards invite you to spend some time with us at a special vineyard setting on the estate grounds (weather permitting). Upon arrival, you'll enjoy a brief tour of the winery and then be escorted to a picturesque grove in our vineyards. Winery owner, John Terlato, and winemaker Elizabeth Vianna look forward to sharing some of our estate wines (finished AND future), along with live music and some delicious bites themed to reflect our unique, Cape Dutch South African architecture.
For those who would like to visit us on Sunday after the V2V Brunch, we will be offering complimentary tastings for V2V pass holders.

Savor pies from Tra Vigne Pizzeria while mingling with the Cliff Lede Vineyards' winemaking team. Toss in some classic rock spun by San Francisco's DJ Mancub, and you have a recipe for a laid back vintner-style Saturday.
Clos Du Val extends a warm welcome, with French flair—join us for the "Bienvenue Brunch". Located at the southern entrance of the renowned Stags Leap District, our beautiful, ivy-covered winery estate is ideally situated for starting your glorious day exploring the wines of the Stags Leap District. Back by popular demand, our gourmet brunch will be served in the picturesque Olive Grove from 10am-12noon (other fare will be served throughout the afternoon). Of course, a fashionable start to any meal includes an apéritif, which we've made from our lovely Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc. Follow that with delicious brunch fare, charcuterie, and savory crêpes before tasting some of our limited-production estate red wines while listening to the sultry sounds of various French jazz artists.
Winemaker Kristy Melton and President Steve Tamburelli have chosen some really fine wines to pour for you today, including our current vintage 2010 Stags Leap District Estate Cabernet, the 2011 Petit Verdot (only 300 cases produced), and the unveiling of the 2011 "Joie Du Vin", Single Block Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (only 483 1.5L bottles produced). And for a preview of the outstanding 2013 vintage, Kristy and Steve will be offering a taste of the Stags Leap District Reserve Estate Cabernet Sauvignon out of barrel. If you would like to linger a little longer, we invite you to play a game of pétanque, a French game known for its ease of play and conviviality.

Join us for a unique sampling of our highest quality Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon with Tri Tip and other mouth watering food fare. Our Winemaker, Benoit Touquette will be on hand to discuss his take on viticulture, fermentation and aging process.
Our small Stags Leap District Estate Vineyard on Wappo Hill uniquely combines a southern hillside exposure for maximum ripening potential of our red Bordeaux varietals along with cool, fog-filled evenings that allow for optimum structural development yielding greater precision in the harvested grapes. The rare granitic soils (Wappo Hill is believed to be an extinct volcano) retain heat and minimize water retention, stressing the vines causing them to push their roots deeper in search of nourishment. Careful planting of specific varietals with regards to subtle differences in soil depths, composition and daylight exposure, mirrors the fundamental terroir concepts used for centuries on both the Left and Right Banks of Bordeaux.
Once a year, the Ilsley family welcomes guests to relax and enjoy their limited production Cabernet Sauvignons. Having recently tasted thru the past 10 vintages, they will be taking two of their favorite wines from the library to share with V2V guests. Enjoy a sampling of Ilsley Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon with the winemaker, Heather Pyle, and discover where these fine wines begin and how they are aging beautifully. Chef Ron Stainer will again create a new savory slider to pair with our latest fabulous Cabernet Sauvignon and our unique Seis Primas cookies. On Saturday, April 25th, Nancy and I welcome you to our home on Silverado Trail. A special day for all of us, we greet old friends and customers, and, hopefully, make new devotees of our wine, after they sample our vintages.
On hand to answer your questions is Robbie Meyer, our highly acclaimed winemaker. In addition, several Malk family members will be pouring one of our well-received 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon, premier Pinot Noir, and our yet-to-be-released 2014 Sauvignon Blanc.

Odette Estate invites Vineyard to Vintner guests to the newest winery in the Stags Leap District. Join us for a leisurely afternoon of luxury as you taste the inaugural release of our critically acclaimed Estate Cabernet Sauvignon paired with delectable Cabernet-filled chocolates. Shafer extends a warm welcome to this special celebration of Stags Leap District, our home since 1973. John Shafer, who led the effort with our neighbors to establish the District (a four-year process from 1985 through 1989) will be on hand throughout the day to greet you along with winery president Doug Shafer and winemaker Elias Fernandez. This year we'll uncork two of our Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignons, the 2012 One Point Five, which is a newly released wine, and 2006 Hillside Select, which we will pull from our library especially for V2V guests. Our friend Chef Visconte will prepare delicious hors d'oeuvres to accompany the wines. Our wines available for sale will be 2013 Red Shoulder Ranch Chardonnay, 2012 Merlot, and 2012 One Point Five Cabernet Sauvignon. Our other wines are sold out; likewise because of the extremely limited amount of 2006 Hillside Select in our library, it will not be available for purchase. Our event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 pm. This is the backyard of the former home of Nathan Fay, the first person to plant Cabernet in the Stags Leap District.
